Home Ownership
The City was awarded a HOME grant to continue the Home Ownership Program. Funds will be available on a "first come-first served" basis based on the date the City receives a complete application.
The Home Ownership Program is designed to provide assistance to income qualified homebuyers in purchasing homes, located within Arcata City limits. The Program provides loans up to $146,000 per home with 1.5% simple interest and deferred payments for 30 years. Income qualification depends on family size. Consult the California Department of Housing and Community Development for the current limits.
