Dog Licenses
The owner of every dog within the incorporated area of the City shall pay annually a license tax as established by resolution of the City Council. Dog licenses may be purchased at the chashiers window in Arcata City Hall during normal business hours.
Annual Fees
- $50.00 (late $100.00)
- Spayed or neutered $15.00 (late $30.00)
- Senior citizens 65 years and older $10.00 (late $20.00)(Spayed or neutered)
- Replacement tags $0.25
In order to have a license issued every owner must provide proof of current rabies vaccination from their veterinarian.
